Qualcomm atheros ar8161 pci-e gigabit ethernet controller windows 10

I have a desktop computer that I built 7 years ago.  I ultimately updated to Windows 10 2 months earlier.  It went pretty flawlessly other than now it drops my internet connection daily.  I have to reboot to get it to come back.  I"m wondering if I should update the netjob-related adapter driver yet cannot uncover one and don"t want to risk downloading and install the wrong one.  Wondering if someone have the right to aid me uncover the appropriate one.  It is Qualcomm Atheros AR8161/8165 PCI-E Gigalittle Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.20)

Any assist would be appreciated!  :-)

Thank you

Cathy

I am attaching the latest driver I might discover for Windows 64little bit. I would initially do a Network-related Reset in Windows 10. If that does not assist then downfill the zip file I attached. Unzip to a record on the desktop. Right click the adapter in Device Manager > Upday Driver and browse to the unzipped folder to install the driver.

Edit: How to carry out a Netjob-related Reset.

Select the Start  button, then select Settings  > Netjob-related & Internet  > Status > Network recollection. On the Netoccupational reset display, select Recollection now > Yes to confirm.

Wait for your PC to restart, and view if that fixes the difficulty.

I am not so quick to recommfinish turning off Windows Upday driver updating attribute these days.

What I certainly recommfinish is that you store a copy of any "last working driver" that you have actually downloaded in situation you should have to reinstall it.  If, and just if, you discover that Windows Upday is repetitively updating a driver (or drivers) wrongly need to you revolve that attribute off.   Ideally, you must likewise report the device wright here that"s emerging, together with the functioning driver, to Microsoft via the Feedback Hub.

My monitoring is that Microsoft really tries to store it"s driver library as up-to-day as it have the right to, and also to fix "errors of association" wright here the wrong driver is picked for a offered device.

Just wanted to provide a quick upday for others that may have the same problems.  I have not had a disconnect given that I reset the network-related.  This is absolutely the longest it has actually ever before gone without losing the connection so I think the netjob-related recollection was the solution.  Thank you for all your aid to this irritating problem!  :-)
