Intel ethernet connection 1219-v

I have a gigalittle bit plan via a local internet provider. I"m utilizing a cat 5e cable to connect to a gigalittle rexternal (TL-WR1043ND) or directly to the internet making use of a pppoe link.

My netjob-related adapter is Intel Ethernet Connection I217-V, I"m making use of Windows 7 64 bit. I have updated my netoccupational card motorists.

You watching: Intel ethernet connection 1219-v

My trouble is that I can not downfill with more than 10 MB/s from the internet (exact same for speedtests)

I developed a regional ftp making use of the router and a flash drive / external hdd - max download rate 10 MB/s so I think there"s somepoint wrong through my ethernet card.

If I go to Local Area Connection condition I have the right to watch that the speed is 1.0 Gbps.

However, if I go to properties -> connumber -> Link speed I acquire a strange message saying that 1.0 Gbps is not available.

Am I on the appropriate track? Should I get a brand-new network-related card or should I investigate even more (faulty cable / connection, etc)?

Try disabling "Energy Efficient Ethernet." This disabled some connectivity worries for me. Go into the Device Manager (best click the windows icon in the begin bar) and also modify the properties for the Ethernet Connection. Under the "Advanced" tab, change the "Value" for "Energy Efficient Ethernet" to off. Let us know if this works!

Try utilizing a various Ethernet Cable first before thinking of replacing the NIC. Are you sure you are utilizing cat5e? The older CAT5 cables just sustained 100Mbps rather than 1 Gbit/s.

If disabling "Energy Efficient Ethernet" does not fix the problem, attempt changing ports on your rexternal, transforming the rexternal, and also verify that all the cables from router to client are gigalittle compatible consisting of keeping an eye on cable length which should not exceed 100 meters per segment.

Seems that your Gigalittle network-related card is thinking tbelow is a trouble and is down-throttling itself to 10 mb/s.That sound suspiciously favor a negative UTP cable. As if 1 or 2 of the 8 interior wires are broken or if the cable has been under severe stresses (folded in a really exceptionally sharp bfinish or having actually been clamped somewhere). If the cable is home-made the RJ45 connectors can be cramped on badly or mis-wired.

Get yourself one more Cat 5e cable. That have to deal with the difficulty.
